 A wildlife, sport, and concert photographer. Artie is Gotham Whale's dedicated photographer and Socila Media Director.

Curator or Fishes and Mammals at the New England Aquarium.where he began his career in 1969.

Aquarium Curator at the New York Aquarium - 1988 to 2009.

Author of the book, Sharks, as well as numerous popular and scientific publications..

Dr. Merryl Kafka,

 Former Curator of Education at the New York Aquarium, Dr. Kafka was instrumental in providing marine science programming to community groups, families, students, and teachers throughout the New York City area . She is also a co-founder of the Rachel Carson HS of Coastal Studies and serves on the Executive Board of the New York State Marine Education Association (NYSMEA). Dr. Kafka is the recipient of many awards; from the White House and the EPA for “Project Creek”, for habitat restoration in Coney Island. She received the “Lifelong Devotion to Marine Education Exemplary Service Award” from NYSMEA. Adjunct Professor for Brooklyn College’s AREAC (Aquatic Research and Environmental Assessment Center) for the College Now program for high school students, co-teaching “Urban Marine Ecology”. Dr. Kafka received her M.S. Degree in Biology and N.Y. State Certificate of Museum Studies from New York University, and received her Doctorate in Instructional Leadership from St. John’s University.
